Getting started

Set up Facebook & Instagram pages

Create the Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts your feeds publish to — for your company and for each property.

ResPost publishes through Facebook Pages— the business kind, not a personal profile. Each feed (your company feed, a city feed like “Boise Homes”, or an individually-marketed property) connects to one Page, and Instagram rides along when it's linked to that Page. No Pages yet? Setting each one up takes a few minutes.

Create a Facebook Page for your company

  1. Log in to Facebook with your normal account, then go to facebook.com/pages/create.
  2. Name the Page after your company and pick a category like Property Management Company.
  3. Add your logo as the profile photo and a cover image — they show on every post.
  4. You're automatically an Adminof any Page you create — that's the role ResPost needs when you connect it.

Facebook's own walkthrough: Create a Facebook Page.

A Page for a property or group of homes

Same flow, once per feed: name the Page after the community or group, and pick a category like Apartment & Condo Building or Real Estate. Your personal account can admin all of them — you don't need separate logins.

Set up Instagram (optional, recommended)

  1. Create an Instagram account for the brand, or use the one you already run.
  2. Switch it to a professional account: in the Instagram app, Settings → Account type → Switch to professional account → Business. Instagram's guide: Set up a business account on Instagram.
  3. Link it to the matching Facebook Page — from the Page's settings or Meta's Accounts Center. Guide: Connect a Facebook Page to your Instagram account.

Then connect in ResPost

Back in onboarding — or any property's Workspace under Channels — hit Connect Facebookand log in with the account that admins the Page. Instagram comes along automatically when it's linked to that Page.
